I am not a sports photographer – pt 2

Here it is, the long awaited update in my ‘Sports Photographer’ saga. I’d like to say that it took me so long to update because I was so busy shooting sports. But that would be untrue. Mostly.

I have actually been relatively busy with sports – relative to previous months/years. I expanded my territory to include all of Central Texas (Austin, DFW, Houston, College Station, San Antonio, Waco and all points in between); I’ve targeted events at all schools in this area, regardless of size; I’ve even created a database of sports contacts for the schools that come to this area and I email each of them offering my services.

So far, things are going pretty well. I had 25 sports gigs from Sept to Dec of 2013. That’s a significant bump in sports business over previous years. And this is sports work – good money and good fun.
